RE: on-site Camping:

The Gathering has become such a popular destination each September that we are at risk of outgrowing our lovely island home.  Therefore after much deliberation, due to the growth of our sweep family and the load our ever-growing presence puts on the electrical capability available to us there on the island, we have come to the difficult decision to limit "recreational vehicles" (tow behind trailers and drivable RV's) allowed to hook up.

The island includes only 4 full hook-ups RV sites.  Hookups will be available by reservation only with staff members and educators receiving first priority.  Any remaining sites will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve for those who would like to be placed on a waiting list.

Considerations for tents, pop-ups and other camper guests as follows:

“Boondocking” (dry camping)* will be allowed for campers who do not need hookups, or can provide their own power via generator or other means.

• *By definition this type of camping is off-grid without utility hookups for water, electricity, or sewer.
• Campers using generators will be directed to specific areas to facilitate noise management.
  

• No appliances requiring more than 15amps. 
• Cord size (12 gauge preferred), length, location, and path must be approved by our esteemed Electrical Czar, Bob Priesing.
  
• Usage and/ or availability may be removed or restricted at anytime based on the needs of the staff, kitchen, classes/events, Restrooms, etc.
